The Nile

The Nile River is the longest river in the world, stretching for about 4,000 miles. It starts in the moutains and flows down into the Mediterranean Sea. The Blue Nile, White Nile, and the Arbara all flow into it. Flowing through severl rocky areas, many rapids occur. Used very much by the Ancient Egytians. It flows at a steady four knots during inundation season and is about 25-33 feets deep. Even it dryer seasons, it does not flow much slower or get much more shallow. many people take cruises along the river.
